Dallas Office Exhibit

A professional museum exhibit designer has been contracted to develop a new exhibit incorporating substantive content and implementing technology. Concepts for the new exhibit include the story of the beginning of accounting in Texas and the start of TSCPA, and continued growth for TSCPA as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the profession and the Society over time. The estimated completion date for the Dallas exhibit is August 2007.

Austin Exhibit

The exhibits currently installed in the lobby of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy offices in Austin are several years old and in need of renovation/update. The museum designed also developed a new exhibit to be used in this area. The focus of the Austin exhibit will be on a selection of CPAs from varied backgrounds and professional areas. Each CPA will tell a story through pictures and quotes to help display the diversity of Texas CPAs. The estimated completion date for the Austin exhibit is August 2007.

Storage of TSCPA archives

Plans are still underway to work with University of Texas Center for American History to archive some of the museum’s historic artifacts.
